The NCAA Softball Tournament is now finally headed to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium — OGE Energy Field.

Sixty four teams entered the tournament which began May 20, 2022, and the Women’s College World Series is set to start on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Thirty-two teams were originally selected on an at-large basis by the Division I Softball Committee. Sixteen teams were seeded and placed at one of the 16 regional sites. The regional site winners advanced to a best-of-3 Super Regionals. The winners of the Super Regionals advanced to the World Series.

The final 8 teams are set for the Women’s College World Series — Oklahoma, Texas, UCLA, Northwestern, Oregon State, Florida, Arizona and Oklahoma State.

Where we currently stand

  • The final 8 teams are making their way to Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series.
  • No. 1 Oklahoma is the favorite to win the national title; however, 3 other national seeds are in the World Series, too — No. 5 UCLA, No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 9 Northwestern and No. 14 Florida.
  • Three unranked teams also made the final 8 — Texas, Oregon State and Arizona.
