ESPN BET successfully completed its rebrand to theScore Bet on Monday, Dec. 1, with few problems throughout the 20 states where PENN Entertainment holds a sports betting license.
Customers who had their accounts transferred to PENN Entertainment’s online sports betting platform will still have access to all available college football markets moving forward. theScore Bet will feature the same betting markets as ESPN BET made available for the last several years.
The rebrand also came on the same day Missouri online sports betting launched, becoming the 39th state to feature legalized sports betting.
Successful Rebrand for theScore Bet
PENN Entertainment and ESPN announced on Nov. 6 mutual agreement for an early termination of their 10-year, $2 billion deal for an exclusive U.S. online sports betting partnership the two inked in August 2023. Within the agreement, the companies announced ESPN BET would shut down on Monday, Dec. 1, triggering a complete rebrand of PENN’s online sports betting platforms throughout the U.S. to theScore Bet on the same day.
While PENN Entertainment’s online sports betting platform has a different look, it will still feature the same sports betting catalogue users enjoyed throughout the last several years with ESPN BET.
ESPN BET users automatically had their account information, funds, and pending sports bets automatically transferred to the rebranded platform. An update of the app may be required, but no download of a new sports betting platform is necessary.
PENN Entertainment holds online sports betting licenses in 20 states, and Washington, D.C., throughout the U.S. theScore Bet is now available in the following:

theScore Bet Now Live in Missouri
The rebrand came on the same day Missouri launched its sports betting market, becoming the 39th state to offer legalized sports betting. The Show-Me State has opened its online sports betting market with eight licensed operators.
DraftKings Missouri, Circa Missouri, FanDuel Missouri, Fanatics Sportsbook Missouri, Caesars Sportsbook Missouri, theScore Bet Missouri (formerly ESPN BET Missouri), bet365 Missouri, and BetMGM Missouri are now open for business.
Interested customers can now register accounts for theScore Bet in the Show-Me State and download the online sports betting platform in the app store. Any customers who pre-registered accounts with ESPN BET will have all of their information and funds automatically transferred to theScore Bet platform.
