Gage Jump is headed to The Show.
The former LSU star will be called up by the Athletics this week, according to a report from ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Jump is off to an excellent start in the minor leagues in 2026. Pitching in the hitter-friendly PCL, Jump has registered a 4.50 ERA with 56 strikeouts in 38 innings of work. That bat-missing ability has certainly caught the eye of the A’s front office.

Limiting walks will be important for Jump as he makes the transition to the Major Leagues. He has walked 4.7 batters per 9 innings so far this season in AAA.
It’s unclear at this time where Jump will fit into the Athletic’s plans. Barring any changes, Luis Severino is expected to start for the club on Tuesday while Jeffrey Springs is set to take the mound on Wednesday.
Jump was a member of LSU’s 2024 team and made 15 starts for the Tigers that season. He began his college career at UCLA. The A’s drafted him in the 2nd round of the 2024 MLB Draft.
