Former Florida slugger Jac Caglianone is determined to punish minor league baseball, and the star prospect for the Kansas City Royals continued a massive power surge on Tuesday.

Now at the Double A level, Caglianone homered for a 3rd straight game. This time, it was a seemingly effortless opposite-field blast for Caglianone that left the park on a line.

While Caglianone makes it look easy, driving a ball with this kind of force to the opposite field is anything but:

While homering in 3 straight games is impressive enough, Caglianone was not done yet. He delivered another home run, also to the opposite field, to drive in 3 runs and give him his 8th home run of the season.

The No. 6 overall pick for the Royals in last year’s MLB Draft, Caglianone began his professional at the High-A level with 29 games last season. He struggled with just 2 home runs and a .690 OPS, but he was still promoted to Double-A to begin the 2025 season.

Simply put, Caglianone has been on a reign of terror in Double-A across 28 games to begin the season with a 1.012 OPS and 8 home runs. He also has 6 doubles 24 runs scored, while rocking a .406 on-base percentage.

He still needs to clean up his strikeouts a bit (now at 30 overall in 109 at-bats), but it is clear Caglianone has polished in-game power that will translate to just about any level he plays in. We’ll see how he’s able to keep things rolling throughout the summer, but he’s firing on all cylinders right now.
