Oklahoma moved up in the D1Baseball Top 25 after a 3-1 showing in Week 5, but Week 6 got off to a rough start. The Sooners had a rough night in Hammond, Louisiana.

Southeastern Louisiana blanked No. 8 OU 3-0 in an upset.

Oklahoma had just 4 hits on the night with 2 in the 4th inning and 2 in the 7th inning. The Sooners also had 4 reach on freepasses (3 walks, 1 hit by pitch). At the end of the night, OU had 6 strikeouts and left 5 men on base.

Southeastern Louisiana used 5 pitchers on the night. Starter Nik Toups tossed 3 hitless frames and struck out 5. Levi Shaffer picked up the win for his scoreless 1.1 IP of relief. Larson Fabre and Logan Freche got the Lions through the 7th, and Triston Todorowski pitched 2 hitless innings for the save.

Oklahoma is now 17-4 on the season as it gears up for a trip to Baton Rouge to face defending national champion LSU. The struggling Tigers recently dropped out of the D1Baseball Top 25.
