2 SEC programs among 4 schools to qualify for CFP, men’s and women’s NCAA Tournaments

A pair of SEC programs are among elite company for the 2025-26 athletic year.
There are only 4 schools that have had teams qualify for the College Football Playoff and the men’s and women’s NCAA Tournaments. Those schools are Alabama, Texas Tech, Georgia and Ohio State.

Here’s a look at the seeds each school earned, starting with Ohio State, as the Buckeyes earned the highest seed in the College Football Playoff this year among the 4 programs:
At the other end of the spectrum in the SEC this year, you have Auburn and Mississippi State, which didn’t have either their men’s or women’s basketball teams qualify for the NCAA Tournament (and didn’t send their football programs to the Playoff, either).
