4 SEC shooting guards crack 2024 Jerry West Award preseason watchlist

The 2023-24 college basketball season is just under 2 weeks away, and the SEC is set to have one of the top conferences in the nation once again.
With the start of the season come the preseason lists of the top players and teams in the country. On Tuesday, the Jerry West Award watchlist was released, including 4 players out of the SEC on the list of 20.
The Jerry West Award is given to the top shooting guard in college basketball each season. Houston’s Marcus Sasser won the honor last year.
Tennessee’s Santiago Vescovi, Arkansas’ Tramon Mark, Florida’s Riley Kugel and Kentucky’s Antonio Reeves all made their way onto the preseason watchlist this year.
Only the Big East had more representatives than the SEC:
