The preseason Ferris Mowers Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll was released on Wednesday and 5 SEC teams were among the top 25.
Kentucky was the highest rated SEC team, checking in at No. 11. Joining the Wildcats were No. 13 Alabama, No. 15 Arkansas, No. 17 Tennessee, and No. 22 Auburn.
LSU was the only other SEC school to receive votes in the preseason balloting.
Gonzaga, last season’s national runner-up, was ranked No. 1 after receiving 29 of the 31 1st-place votes, while defending national champion Baylor checked in at No. 8.
