College basketball is finally back.

11 SEC programs are in action Monday, including a solid matchup between Georgia and Oregon at 4:30 on truTV. Before the evening’s main action tips off, one of the country’s premier basketball awards made an announcement.

The Naismith Award, given to the top player in college basketball at year’s end, dropped a 50-man watch list for the award. Seven SEC standouts cracked the list.

Here’s a list of the SEC players included:

  • Trevon Brazile, Arkansas
  • Johni Broome, Auburn
  • Justin Edwards, Kentucky
  • Grant Nelson, Alabama
  • Tolu Smith, Mississippi State
  • Wade Taylor VI, Texas A&M
  • Santiago Vescovi, Tennessee

You can find the other 43 members on the watch list here.

As you can see, no SEC team has more than 1 player represented. Justin Edwards is the only freshman on the list and Grant Nelson joins Edwards as the only member of the list who did not play in the SEC last season.

Who was left off the list?
