No. 16 Alabama is, well … rolling. The Crimson Tide have won 8 in a row heading into tonight’s showdown at rival Georgia. Tip-off is set for 6:30 pm, ET (ESPNNews).

The Tide are coming off an emotional win at then-No. 22 Tennessee on Saturday, secured on Labaron Philon Jr.’s late jumper.

Georgia Bulldogs (20-9, 8-8 SEC) is looking to beat a ranked team for the first time since beating then-No. 17 Arkansas on Jan. 17.

This matchup features a fascinating clash of styles and star power. Alabama brings the nation’s most explosive offense, led by Philon’s electric scoring (21.4 PPG), to challenge a Georgia interior anchored by Somto Cyril, the SEC’s premier rim protector.

Our detailed analysis breaks down Alabama at Georgia and offers expert betting advice.

Both teams score at an elite rate: Alabama enters averaging a 92.1 points per game, capitalizing on a perimeter-heavy attack that stretches defenses to their breaking point. Georgia isn’t far behind at 89.7 PPG fueled by transition play and rim attacks. While the Bulldogs allow fewer points (78.4 vs. 83.1), context is key here: Alabama has played a far more rigorous slate of opponents.

Prediction: Ride the Tide in a Shootout

With the line sitting at essentially a coin flip, we have to look at which team executes better in high-leverage situations. While Georgia’s home-court advantage is real, the value lies with the visitors.

The Pick: Alabama To Win ($0.52 at Kalshi)

In a game projected to be this close, pedigree matters. Alabama has proven it can beat quality teams, securing 9 wins against Top 50 RPI teams. Georgia’s resume, while solid on the surface, lacks those signature wins, with the majority of its victories coming against teams outside the top tier.

The matchup on the floor also favors the Tide’s offensive philosophy. Georgia’s Somto Cyril is an elite shot blocker (2.45 blocks per game), but Alabama’s spacing neutralizes interior defenders. Labaron Philon Jr. (21.4 PPG) and Aden Holloway (16.7 PPG) are masters at creating shots on the perimeter, forcing bigs to step out of the paint or risk getting torched from deep.

Nobody in the country relies more on the 3, either. The Tide are averaging 12.9 made 3-pointers per game — tops in the nation.

Furthermore, Alabama’s 7-2 road record is impossible to ignore. The Tide just walked into Knoxville and took down a Top-25 Tennessee team in a hostile environment, hitting 10 3-pointers in a 71-69 win. Athens won’t present anything they haven’t seen before. The Bulldogs allow nearly 80 points per game despite a softer schedule — facing the SEC’s second-best offense is a massive step up in class.

Expect a high-scoring affair where both teams trade buckets, but trust the battle-tested Tide to make the winning plays down the stretch. Back the road team to extend its streak to 9.
