Arkansas star freshman Darius Acuff might not be available on Saturday afternoon when the 20th-ranked Razorbacks hit the court with Mizzou in the SEC regular-season finale for both teams.

According to a report on Friday afternoon by CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, the guard phenom who has taken the league by storm this season is doubtful for the matchup in Columbia for “undisclosed” reasons.

Acuff leads Arkansas in scoring at 22.2 points per game and assists with 6.4 per contest. He’s also averaging 3.0 rebounds this season and shooting 49.3% from the field, numbers that have been instrumental in helping guide John Calipari’s team to a 22-8 overall record entering the regular season’s final weekend.

Arkansas could have to deal with the hostile environment at Mizzou without the engine of its offense, as it battles with Alabama for 2nd place in the SEC behind regular-season champion Florida. The Razorbacks and Crimson Tide enter play on Saturday tied at 12-5 in the conference.

Acuff was out there in Arkansas’s home finale on Wednesday night, putting up 28 points and 13 assists in the Razorbacks’ rout of Texas that clinched a double bye for the Hogs in the upcoming SEC Tournament.

Arkansas and Mizzou will tip things off at noon ET (ESPN) on Saturday in Columbia, very possibly with Acuff not available for the huge SEC matchup.
