Bucky McMillan has Texas A&M looking like an NCAA Tournament in his first season as the coach in College Station. On Tuesday night, the Aggies got a huge win as they knocked off the Kentucky Wildcats 96-85.

The Aggies were down double digits early in the game, but then went on a dominant run to pull away and get the win.

After the game, McMillan was speaking to the reporters when he dropped an incredible quote detailing the mindset he has for his team.

“I’m not coaching basketball afraid of my own shadow,” McMillan said. “Basketball is a war. We pick people up 94 feet because the court is 94 feet, not 40 feet. We play to live, we don’t play not to die.”

McMillan has brought an exciting style of basketball to College Station, as his pressure defense is known as ‘Bucky Ball’ from his time as the coach at Samford.

With the win, the Aggies moved to 20-10 on the season, with a 10-7 record in the SEC. Texas A&M ends the regular season with a game at LSU before the SEC starts up next week.

According to ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi, the Aggies are currently one of the last four byes in the tournament, but a win against LSU and some success as the SEC Tournament would help Aggies fans breathe a little bit easier on Selection Sunday.
