Charles Bediako isn’t giving up on his quest to return to the Alabama basketball team.

Hours after Alabama state judge Daniel Pruet denied Bediako’s request to receive an injunction during his appeal of the Feb. 9 ruling that rendered him ineligible to play, Bediako has filed an emergency motion for an interim injunction with the state’s Supreme Court. AL.com’s Nick Kelly reported the news on Tuesday.

Bediako’s decision continues a saga that has gone on for weeks. He was initially granted a temporary restraining order that allowed him to return to the Crimson Tide a couple of years after leaving the program to turn pro.

During his five games back with the Tide, he averaged 10 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks. He hasn’t played since Feb. 7, a 96-92 win over Auburn during which he scored 12 points and posted three rebounds.

After it appeared his college basketball career was over once and for all, Bediako has pushed to return to the team and finish out the season. Meanwhile, the Tide has strung together a season-high six-game winning streak. That’s put them at 20-7 overall and 12-2 in the SEC, just two games back of league-leading Florida with four regular-season games remaining.

Up next, Alabama plays Mississippi State. Prediction market Kalshi is taking action on the game, allowing fans to predict the outcome.
