Chase McCarty, 4-star SF and SEC target, sets commitment date
By Ethan Stone
Published:
Chase McCarty, a 4-star small forward out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, announced late Tuesday night that he will announce his college commitment on Friday, October 13.
McCarty dropped a top 6 of Mizzou, Tennessee, Houston, Georgia Tech, Kansas and Texas Tech a few weeks ago, but now it seems as if he’s made his decision.
It’s hard to get a read on if the 6-5, 200 pound SF has any specific leans, but it seems as if Missouri and Tennessee are 2 of the top 3 or 4 teams that have been on his radar lately. He took an official visit to Knoxville in late August and another to Columbia on Sept. 15.
McCarty was only recently offered by Georgia Tech on October 3.

McCarthy is considered to be the No. 73 player in the Class of 2024, as well as the No. 20 SF and No. 12 player out of Florida.
