The Week 4 college basketball AP Top 25 was released on Monday following the start of Feast Week.
The SEC remained one of the most impressive conferences in basketball this past week, scoring wins such as Tennessee over Baylor, Alabama over Illinois and Georgia over St. John’s. The conference is an impressive 67-10 to start the season.
The Auburn Tigers retain the top spot in the conference this weekend, coming in at No. 4 just in front of No. 7 Tennessee, No. 8 Kentucky and No. 9 Alabama. As you can see, 4 SEC programs cracked the top 10 this week – the most of any conference.
Tennessee might have had the most impressive week, however. The Vols won the Baha-Mar championship, downing Virginia and Baylor in games that the Vols controlled from the jump. Chaz Lanier is raising the ceiling for that Vols team with each passing week.
But let’s not forget Alabama, which scored a bounce-back win over Illinois on Wednesday. The Tide cracked 100 thanks to 23 points from Grant Nelson and 16, 9 assists from Labaron Philon.
Florida, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Mississippi State also cracked the top 25 for a grand total of 9 SEC programs in the top 25.
