Manhattan basketball is looking for a new head coach.

Former head coach Steve Masiello, a former Kentucky player in the late 90s, stepped away from the program less than 2 weeks ahead of the ’22-23 college basketball season. The reasoning is unknown, but it has been reported he had a shaky relationship with Manhattan’s athletic director.

Still, this is not the place you want to be in as a mid-major as the season is set to tip off.

Masiello has been the head coach at Manhattan since 2012, leading the Jaspers to the NCAA Tournament twice in 2014 and 2015.

Last year, the Jaspers went 15-15 with a first round loss in the MAAC to Rider.
