Garwey Dual was ejected on Friday night for throwing a punch in the middle of Providence’s game vs. Kansas State.
It started when Kansas State’s Dai Dai Ames, who was also ejected for the incident, appeared to make contact with Dual above the neck while trying to create separation. After reeling in pain, Dual retaliated by throwing a punch at Ames with his right arm.
Here’s video of the incident:

The Wildcats ended up winning the game 73-70 over the Friars in overtime. Ames racked up 10 points before being ejected, while Dual had 7 points and 3 rebounds.
The Wildcats improved to 3-1 after the win. The team lost the opener against USC and has won 3 in a row since then.
The Friars fell to 3-1. The team had wins against Columbia, Milwaukee, and Wisconsin to start the season.
It will be interesting to see if either player is suspended as a result of this incident. The next game for the Wildcats will be against the No. 12 Miami Hurricanes. The Friars next take on the Georgia Bulldogs.
