Current national championship betting odds for each SEC men’s basketball team
College basketball gets rolling for real on Tuesday night. No. 10 Kentucky and No. 9 Duke face off at the Garden to highlight a big evening of games, 11 of which will feature SEC teams.
With the season now at hand, let’s have a look at the current DraftKings Sportsbook’s futures.
While Gonzaga is the outright favorite to win the title this season, Kentucky (+1600) has the 5th-best odds in the country and the best among SEC squads. Alabama, entering its 3rd year under coach Nate Oats and looking to follow up a breakthrough 26-7 season a year ago, is +2000 to win the title, the 6th-best overall and 2nd-best among the SEC teams.
The rest of the SEC is as follows:
- Arkansas +3000
- LSU +5500
- Tennessee +6000
- Auburn +6500
- Florida +7000
- Mississippi State +13000
- Missouri +13000
- Texas A&M +20000
- Ole Miss +25000
- Georgia +30000
- South Carolina +30000
- Vanderbilt +30000
Kentucky (+400) is also the favorite to win the conference. The Cats and coach John Calipari are in a different position than the one they’ve grown accustomed to as the new year gets underway. The roster is once again new-look, but the team is coming off its first sub-.400 season since 1926. Kentucky went 9-16 last year and, in response, Calipari rebooted his staff and hit the transfer portal hard. Four Division I transfers join 3 top-40 high school recruits.
Alabama and Arkansas are both +500 to win the conference title.
The rest of the league:
- Tennessee +550
- Auburn +650
- Florida +750
- LSU +1200
- Mississippi State +2000
- Ole Miss + 2500
- Missouri +5000
- South Carolina +5000
- Vanderbilt +7000
- Texas A&M +10000
- Georgia +20000
