Dick Vitale is synonymous with college basketball, but the ESPN broadcaster has been sidelined for most of the 2021-22 season while resting his voice after a procedure on his vocal cords.
As Dickie V continues his fight against cancer, he shared some good news on Tuesday afternoon.
As you can see below, Vitale tweeted that his PET scan came back showing no signs of cancer, which is great news for the iconic ESPN personality:
OMG ALL THE PRAYERS many of u have sent have been answered as DR Brown who heads my cancer TEAM called & said PET SCAN came back that NO CANCER is showing. I feel like a coach playing for the Final 4 has a PTPer hit a shot at buzzer. My MARCH MADNESS starts with a W baby ! pic.twitter.com/HS2yI3wgpB

Vitale will likely continue to sit this season out to rest his voice, but this update provides hope he’ll be back on the air next year.
What a great start to March for Vitale and the entire college hoops family!
