Two very different teams on different paths clash this Wednesday as Ole Miss and Texas A&M are set to face off, and ESPN’s top college basketball model updated its prediction for this matchup.
ESPN Analytics is giving the Aggies an 80.5% chance of coming out victorious versus the Rebels.
Surveying the market, Kalshi is in lock-step with ESPN’s model, projecting A&M to have an 81% chance of winning:
For Ole Miss, this season has been one to forget. The Rebels have been the definition of streaky this season. They opened the year off on a 5-game winning streak that was then followed by a 4-game losing streak. They are currently on a 7-game losing streak and have not won since mid-January, when they beat Mississippi State by 1 point. The Rebels are 3-9 in SEC play
For Texas A&M, the season couldn’t have started better. In Bucky McMillan’s first year at the helm, they came into SEC play 10-3 and looked like a sleeper team. They are now 7-5 in SEC play and sit 17-8 on the season. Currently on a 4-game losing skid, the Aggies need a win to get their season back on track and get them ready for tournament play.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. EST in College Station this Wednesday.
