ESPN Analytics think that Todd Golden and the Florida Gators are a heavy favorite to make it to the Sweet Sixteen when they take on Iowa on Sunday in a Round of 32 game. According to ESPN, Florida has a 78.6% chance to win over Iowa, according to ESPN Analytics.
The Gators, of course, won the national championship last season and have been on an absolute tear as of late, having won 18 of their last 20 games entering Sunday’s matchup against the Hawkeyes.
Florida looked every bit a team capable of winning another national championship in their first-round game against Prairie View A&M. 13 players scored for Florida in the 114-55 win, with all five starters scoring in double-figures. Guard Boogie Fland led the way with 16 points.
The Hawkeyes advanced to the second round by taking care of Clemson on Friday, winning that game by a score of 67-61. Ben McCollum is as good of a coach as there is in the country at controlling the pace, and that is just what Iowa will need to do in this game. Guard Bennett Stirtz led the way with 16 points, and has proven to be one of the best point guards in the country.
Here’s a quick look at Kalshi’s odds to win tonight’s game, which is set to tip off at 7:10 p.m. on TBS.
