ESPN’s College GameDay crew predicts winner of Florida-Arkansas clash

Saturday’s game between Florida and Arkansas in Gainesville is vitally important to both teams. The Gators, led by Thomas Haugh, are looking to clinch at least a share of the SEC regular-season title. A win by the Razorbacks, who feature dynamic freshman Darius Acuff, will cut the Gators’ lead atop the standings to a single game with two to go.
ESPN’s “College GameDay” was on hand at the O’Connell Center ahead of a huge Top 20 matchup in the Sunshine State. With Jay Bilas abstaining — since he’ll be on the call with Dan Shulman on ESPN — Seth Greenberg, Andraya Carter, and Jay Williams gave their predictions for the game at the end of the show.
Unsurprisingly, all three picked Florida.
“Darius Acuff’s really good. BUT the Gators are just a little bit better,” Greenberg said while performing the famed Gator Chomp.
“Between the mobility of the bigs, the defensive pressure that Florida can bring…you know, this crowd’s been trying to get me to do a Gator Chomp all morning,” Carter, a former Tennessee guard, added. “I’m not going to do it, but I am going to pick Florida to win.”
“I think tonight, Florida wins the SEC regular-season (title) for the first time since 2014,” Williams said.
It was a clean sweep for the GameDay crew. And, as you can see above, the Gators are a runaway favorite on Kalshi to win this one and claim at least a share of the regular season crown. It will also stretch their season-long win streak to nine games.
