Will Wade is leaving NC State after one season and heading back to Louisiana to become the head coach of the LSU Tigers, and the social media world is letting Wade know just how they feel.
Wade signed a 6-year contract back in March of 2025 to become the next head coach of the NC State Wolfpack. After spending the past two seasons at McNeese State, Wade made his return to a power conference in the ACC.
Wade helped lead the Wolfpack to a 20-14 overall record and a 10-8 record in ACC play. Wade’s team still made the First Four of the NCAA Tournament but fell to Texas for a chance to play in the Round of 64.
Wade now returns to the place he’s spent the most time as a head coach, LSU. Wade was the LSU head coach from 2017 through 2022, where he helped lead LSU to a Sweet 16 back in the 2018-19 season. During his time with LSU, Wade held a 105-51 overall record and a 55-33 record in the SEC.
