Florida has been the SEC’s most dominant team in recent weeks, and on Saturday night, the Gators officially claimed at least a share of the conference title.
No. 7 Florida improved to 23-6 overall and 14-2 in SEC play with an 111-77 win over No. 20 Arkansas. With 2 SEC games to go in the regular season, Florida has a 2-game lead over Alabama (12-4 SEC).

Though Florida won the national championship last season, the Gators did not claim the regular-season SEC championship. This year’s regular-season title is UF’s first since 2014 under Billy Donovan. UF has two more chances to secure the one win to make it an outright SEC title.
Todd Golden‘s team can clinch the outright title at home on Tuesday. The Gators have their home finale against Mississippi State. It has been a rough year for Chris Jans’ Bulldogs, as MSU heads to Gainesville on 13-16 overall and 5-11 in SEC play on a 3-game losing skid.
Florida ends the regular season on the road at Kentucky. The Gators won Round 1 against the Wildcats 92-83 in Gainesville on Feb. 14, the smallest margin on victory during UF’s 9-game winning streak.
If Florida locks up the outright title on Tuesday, there will still be plenty to play for on Saturday. The Gators are trying to snag a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but it may require winning out all the way to Selection Sunday. Prediction market Kalshi is taking action on whether UF will be a 1-seed in the Big Dance.
