SEC men’s basketball teams are beginning to prepare for the upcoming season, and that includes non-conference holiday tournaments.
LSU will play Wake Forest, Auburn will meet Memphis and Georgia will play Notre Dame in the event. The other tournament game is Loyola Chicago against Clemson.
This is the third edition of the event and this time, the games will be in the heart of Atlanta on Dec. 10 and 18th. They will be broadcast on ESPN networks.
For Auburn and Memphis, it will be the third all-time meeting between the two schools next to the 1952-53 and 2020-21 seasons. They met in a Holiday Hoopsgiving game in 2020. The Bulldogs and Fighting Irish will be meeting for the fourth time on the hardwood, with Notre Dame owning a 2-1 advantage in the previous neutral site matchups.
