Jabari Smith fell to the Houston Rockets with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Once the Rockets had him on board, they seemingly figured they might as well just load up on SEC talent for the rest of the first round, adding LSU’s Tari Eason with the No. 17 pick and eventually scoring Kentucky’s TyTy Washington via trade after he was taken by the Memphis Grizzlies with the No. 29 pick.
On Tuesday, the trio of rookie Rockets took in a Houston Astros game, throwing out the first pitches. As you can see below, they all delivered pretty solid efforts and appeared to have a good time doing it:

Those 3 former SEC standouts will be heading to Las Vegas this week for the start of NBA Summer League on July 7.
We’ll see if Smith, Washington and Eason can help turn the Rockets’ fortunes around starting this season.
