Joe Lunardi lists 6 SEC teams on latest Bracketology, and 2 teams on the bubble

Joe Lunardi is out with his latest Bracketology projections, and on Tuesday morning, he has 6 SEC teams in the NCAA Tournament field, led by No. 1 seed Alabama.
The other SEC teams in the field are Tennessee (a 2 seed), Auburn (8), Missouri (8), Kentucky (10) and Arkansas (11). Lunardi also has Texas A&M and Florida among the “First Four Out” on the bubble. The top 3 conferences by number of teams are the Big Ten (8), Big 12 (8) and ACC (7).
As for the top of the field, Lunardi pointed out how Purdue is still No. 1 in the AP Top 25 poll and the coaches poll, despite a loss Saturday to Indiana.
“The Boilermakers clearly have the best NCAA tournament résumé, but pollsters typically miss or ignore that on a week-to-week basis. The result is that, at least for now, there is true consensus on the nation’s No. 1 team. Enjoy it while it lasts!,” he wrote.
