Kerr Kriisa throws shade at Cooper Flagg ahead of massive Kentucky-Duke matchup
Kerr Kriisa and Kentucky are gearing up for a marquee matchup against Duke on Tuesday night.
The veteran Kentucky guard met with reporters this weekend and had some interesting comments about Duke forward Cooper Flagg.
“The whole world is talking about Cooper Flagg. Excited to play against the No. 1 overall draft pick,” Kriisa said sarcastically. “Congrats to him [on getting that already].”

Flagg did come into the season with plenty of hype and fanfare. He’s been talked about for years on the high school basketball circuit as a potential No. 1 overall pick. Entering the 2024-25 season, Flagg was almost universally discussed as the favorite to go No. 1 in a draft class that’s very well regarded.
Through 2 games, Flagg has not disappointed. He’s averaging 15.5 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists so far despite the fact that he won’t turn 18 years old until December. Flagg is known for his defense and he’s been excellent on that end of the court as well.
Of course, going up against Kentucky will be his toughest test yet — and it seems as though the Wildcats will be ready for him. Tipoff is set for 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday night.
