NCAA Tournament 2022 schedule: 2 SEC teams play on Saturday, March 19

The 2022 NCAA Tournament continues Saturday as Round of 32 action begins. Two SEC teams are on the schedule, both facing lower-seeded opponents that managed first-round upsets.

No. 3-seed Tennessee is the first SEC in action Saturday. The Volunteers face No. 11-seed Michigan.

No. 4-seed Arkansas takes the court Saturday night. The Razorbacks will play No. 12-seed New Mexico State.

  • No. 3 Tennessee vs. No. 11 Michigan, 5:15 p.m., CBS
  • No. 4 Arkansas vs. No. 12 New Mexico State, 8:40 p.m., TNT

Rick Barnes’ Vols cruised to an 88-56 first-round victory over No. 14-seed Longwood on Thursday. Juwan Howard’s Wolverines knocked off No. 6-seed Colorado State 75-63. Saturday’s South Region clash for a spot in the Sweet 16 will be played at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Eric Musselman’s Razorbacks had to fight until the end against No. 13-seed Vermont. The Hogs made it to the Round of 32 with a 75-71 win over the Catamounts. New Mexico State delivered a classic 12-5 upset, defeating UConn 70-63. Saturday night at the KeyBankCenter in Buffalo, the Aggies and Razorbacks will play for a Sweet 16 spot out of the West Region.
