The NCAA Tournament is still several months away. Heck, the first games of the 2022-23 season haven’t been played yet.
But, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi is tireless with his tournament projections, and he released his latest bracketology this week.
He’s high on a number of SEC teams, including 7 in his field of 68 and 2 others on the outside looking in. As you can see below, he has Kentucky as a No. 1 seed, with LSU and Mizzou in the “Next Four Out” category:
- Kentucky — No. 1 seed (South)
- Tennessee — No. 2 seed (East)
- Arkansas — No. 3 seed (Midwest)
- Auburn — No. 4 seed (West)
- Alabama — No. 6 seed (West)
- Texas A&M — No. 8 seed (East)
- Florida — No. 10 seed (South)
- LSU — Next Four Out
- Mizzou — Next Four Out
Obviously, there’s still a ton of time for teams to jockey for better seeds in March Madness. We’ll see how the SEC looks when the men’s basketball season actually starts in a couple of months!
