Ole Miss won an overtime thriller on a tip-in at the buzzer. The Rebels took down No. 21 Georgia 97-95 in their first ranked win of the 2025-26 season.
It was a tight game all night at Stegman Coliseum. Georgia never led by double-digits and Ole Miss’s biggest lead was 10, and gone by the end of the 1st half. The back-and-forth battle produced overtime, and things were on the verge of another extra period until Patton Pinkins made the game-deciding play as time expired.
It was a 95-95 game with 10 seconds to go after Marcus Millender made 1-of-2 free throws. Ole Miss crossed the half-court line with about 6 seconds remaining. AJ Storr attempted a jumper with just over 3 seconds. Storr missed, but Pinkins got the rebound and, after an initial miss, got a second-chance tip-in layup just before the buzzer for the 97-95 win.

Storr was Ole Miss’s leading scorer with 27 points. Georgia’s Jeremiah Wilkinson led all scorers with 32 points, going 9-of-19 from the field and 8-of-10 at the line.
Ole Miss got off to a rough start in SEC play, dropping its first 2 conference contests to Oklahoma and Arkansas, but the Rebels may be turning things around. They now have back-to-back wins over Mizzou and Georgia.
