Pair of SEC hoops programs crack top 7 for No. 1 overall prospect out of Texas

A pair of SEC programs were listed as top choices for Class of 2024 power forward Nicolas Codie Tuesday afternoon. Namely, Auburn and LSU.

Codie is considered to be the No. 1 overall player out of Texas in the Class of 2024, as well as the No. 54 overall prospect and No. 9 power forward in the cycle.

The Tigers x2 join an impressive group in the running for Codie, including Miami, Texas, TCU, Houston and Virginia Tech.

Codie attends Newman Smith HS in Carrolton, Texas and stands at 6-8, 200 pounds.

LSU was one of a horde of teams to offer Codie in May, doing so on May 11. Auburn, however, was the most recent squad on the list to offer Codie, doing so on July 12.
