Rick Pitino and the St. John Red Storm moved to 4-0 on the season with a 85-71 win against New Mexico on Sunday. It was a family affair at Madison Square Garden in the matchup, as the Lobos were coached by Rick’s son, Richard.
The Red Storm were in complete control of this game late when they were shooting free throws. During the 2 free throws, the St. John fans started chanting “who’s your daddy?” to Richard, much to the chagrin of his father.
Rick quickly motioned to the fans to stop doing it.

This is the 4th matchup all-time between the father and son coaching duo, with Rick moving to 3-1 in the matchup.
Rick won the first 2 games in the series during his time at Louisville, with Richard getting his lone win when Rick was at Iona.
The Red Storm are 4-0 on the season, but the schedule gets much more difficult quickly. Their next game is against No. 12 Baylor in the first round of the Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas Championship, and then will play either No. 11 Tennessee or Virginia.
