Scotty Pippen Jr. commits to Vanderbilt

The son of former seven-time NBA All-Star Scottie Pippen, Scotty Pippen Jr., committed to Vanderbilt Friday.

The younger Pippen is from Chatsworth, California, and he committed to the Dores following his official visit on January 6. He chose Vandy over DePaul, Colorado State and Washington State, among others.

The elder Pippen had a 17-year NBA career, winning six NBA Championships and scoring nearly 19,000 career points.

Following the 6-foot, 160-pound point guard’s commitment, Vanderbilt now has three verbal pledges in the 2019 recruiting class.
