SEC announces 2021-22 preseason men’s basketball coaches All-SEC teams

The 2021-22 college men’s basketball season starts in a couple of weeks, which means it’s time for preseason awards to come out.

On Tuesday, the SEC revealed the results of the votes from league coaches, naming a total of 18 players to the All-SEC first and second teams.

As you can see below, Alabama leads the way with 2 players receiving first-team honors, while Kentucky placed 1 player on the first team and 3 on the second team:

First Team All-SEC

  • Jaden Shackelford – Alabama
  • Jahvon Quinerly – Alabama
  • JD Notae – Arkansas
  • Allen Flanigan – Auburn
  • Colin Castleton – Florida
  • Sahvir Wheeler – Kentucky
  • Darius Days – LSU
  • Iverson Molinar – Mississippi State
  • John Fulkerson – Tennessee
  • Scotty Pippen Jr. – Vanderbilt

Second Team All-SEC

  • Davonte Davis – Arkansas
  • Jabari Smith – Auburn
  • Keion Brooks Jr. – Kentucky
  • Kellan Grady – Kentucky
  • Oscar Tshiebwe – Kentucky
  • Xavier Pinson – LSU
  • Garrison Brooks – Mississippi State
  • Keyshawn Bryant – South Carolina
