Tennessee star freshman Nate Ament is expected to be good to go ahead of Tennessee‘s matchup with Auburn in the second round of the SEC Tournament, according to Pete Thamel.

The projected lottery pick will be listed as questionable heading into the game. There will be no guarantee on how many minutes the freshman sensation will play, but it is expected that he will play some amount, Thamel reported.

Ament has missed the past two games with a leg injury he sustained against Alabama on Feb. 28.

Ament has had an amazing season after a rougher start than many expected. The 6-foot-10 forward averages 17.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists on 41.4% from the field. The Vols will need Ament to be fully healthy if they want to make a run and win the SEC Tournament.

In the way of the Vols will be a team looking to make a statement. The Auburn Tigers have been in many discussions surrounding the NCAA Tournament and their chances at an at-large bid.

One way for the Tigers to make sure they’re dancing is to run the table and win the SEC Tournament. They took down Mississippi State 79-61 in the first round on Wednesday.

Tip-off for Tennessee-Auburn is set for 3 p.m. EST.
