Texas A&M guard Pop Isaacs reportedly makes decision on future plans
Texas A&M guard Pop Isaacs has decided to enter the transfer portal ahead of his final season of eligibility, according to a report.
Isaacs spent the 2025-26 season with the Aggies but previously played at Texas Tech and Creighton. He only played 8 games in 2024-25 with the Bluejays due to a season-ending injury, qualifying him for a medical redshirt for that campaign.
Despite initially enrolling at Texas Tech back in 2022, Isaacs will have 1 year of eligibility at his next destination.
Isaacs was a productive player for Texas A&M in 2025-26. He made 8 starts and played in 33 total games, averaging about 10 points and 2.5 assists per game. He scored 18 points in a triple overtime win over LSU late in the year, which helped the Aggies win an SEC Tournament game in Year 1 under Bucky McMillan.

Isaacs also had a significant role in Texas A&M’s brief NCAA Tournament run. He played 20+ minutes in both games, although he shot just 2-for-9 from the field in those contests.
Texas A&M is expected to lose several key players to the transfer portal or graduation this offseason, including forward Ruben Dominguez.
So far, Texas A&M has signed just 1 high school prospect for this upcoming class โ 4-star center Josh Irving. That suggests the Aggies will be looking to add significant talent via the portal this offseason.
