Texas A&M lands commitment from Kansas State guard, 2025 All-American via transfer portal

PJ Haggerty is returning to his home state. The well-traveled guard will continue his career at Texas A&M.
Haggerty, a native of the Lone Star State, announced Friday that he has committed to play for Bucky McMillan’s Aggies.

A former Crosby (Texas) High School standout, Haggerty was Texas Mr. Basketball in 2022. In 4 years of college basketball, he has been with 4 schools.
Haggerty stayed in his homestate to begin his career, starting out at TCU. He played in just 6 games during his season with the Horned Frogs, taking a redshirt for the year.
For his first transfer, Haggerty chose Tulsa. He was a 31-game starter in 2023-24, averaging 21.2 points over 33.7 minutes per game.
After Tulsa, it was on to Memphis for the 2024-25 season. Haggerty saw the most playing time of his career with the Tigers. He appeared in 35 games, all starts, logging a career-high 36.6 minutes per game. The 2024-25 season was Haggerty’s best from 3-point range (36.4%) and at the free-throw line (81.8%). He averaged 21.7 points per game, earning AAC Player of the Year and second-team All-American honors.
Haggerty transferred to Kansas State last season. A 31-game starter, Haggerty averaged a career-high 23.4 points per contest with the Wildcats.
For his career, Haggerty averages 21 points per game. He’s a 48.6% shooter from the field, including a 33.9% mark from 3-point range.
