Texas head coach Rodney Terry thinks his team has done enough to make the NCAA Tournament, after taking down in-state foe Texas A&M 94-89 in 2 overtimes in the second round of the SEC Tournament.

“I think we play in the best league in the country and every night you have to play an NCAA tournament game,” Terry said on the SEC Network. “Our guys have had a little bit of adversity. We haven’t been healthy all year long, we now are healthy, we have all our guys, and we have star power.”

Six Texas players hit double figures, led by Tre Johnson’s 20 and Tramon Mark’s 15. The Longhorns now move on to Friday’s quarterfinal round as they’ll take on Tennessee.

According to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, the Longhorns are the Last Team In. After a 3-game losing streak, they’ve won 3 of their last 4, with their victory over the Aggies the biggest so far. They’ll look to keep their run of success going against the Volunteers, who are playing their first game of the tournament.

“We got guys that can step up and answer the bell and you know we’re an entertaining team to watch play,” Terry said.
