Vegas sportsbook updates national championship odds for every Sweet 16 team

We are down to only 16 teams that can win the 2019 National Championship this college basketball season and one-fourth of the field hail from the Southeastern Conference. That hasn’t happened since 1996, in a season the league won the nationl championship thanks to Kentucky.
While history may repeat itself in that regard, the current odds suggest the next national champion is far more likely to hail from the ACC or the Big Ten. According to the Westgate Superbook in Las Vegas, not a single SEC team is listed among the top six to win it all this season.
That could potential change in a hurry if PJ Washington returns to the court, Tennessee plays more consistently, Auburn keeps hitting three pointers and LSU maximizes its talent but until those things happen, the Westgate Superbook doesn’t have much faith in any league team heading into the Sweet 16.
On the other hand, that makes the four SEC teams in the field each a tremendous value when it comes to the odds. Here is how the Westgate Superbook currently lists odds for the 16 teams remaining in the field:
