Zyon Guiles, a 4-star offensive lineman from the Class of 2026, announced on Friday morning that he will begin his collegiate career at South Carolina.
The Palmetto State native, who hails from Hemingway (just east of Myrtle Beach), attended Carvers Bay High School and drew offers from Alabama, Tennessee, Clemson, Auburn and Florida, to name a few. He also took official visits to Georgia, Clemson and Florida as well as South Carolina in June of last year.
For many reasons, this is a massive pledge for South Carolina. Guiles is now the 2nd highest rated Gamecock in the Class of 2026 and one of the top 15 offensive linemen in the country. He’s considered to be the No. 157 overall prospect, No. 14 offensive tackle and No. 3 player out of the state of South Carolina according to 247Sports. He stands at 6-5, 280 pounds.
As it stands following Guiles’ commitment, South Carolina holds the No. 19 overall class in the 2026 cycle. Guiles is the 2nd offensive lineman to verbally commit to USC, joining interior offensive lineman Anthony Baxter, a 3-star from Rock Hill, SC.
In total, South Carolina has 6 verbal commitments as of March 21, 2025.
