We have seen several college football games this season that have been postponed or canceled due to the effect of the coronavirus. This week, though, appears to have brought the most changes as a total of 10 games across FBS will not be played this weekend.

The SEC schedule was hit especially hard this week as a total of 4 games were affected. On Monday, it was announced that Auburn’s game at Mississippi State would be moved to Dec. 12 due to positive tests among the Bulldogs football team. On Tuesday, 2 more games were added to the list as Alabama at LSU and Texas A&M at Tennessee were both tabled for a later date, followed by the announcement of the same for the Georgia at Missouri contest. A 5th game, Arkansas at Florida, will go on as scheduled but see Razorbacks defensive coordinator Barry Odom filling in for head coach Sam Pittman as Pittman tested positive for the coronavirus.

The ACC saw a game of its own postponed due to positive COVID tests, and that was the Pittsburgh/Georgia Tech game scheduled for Saturday in Atlanta which will be moved to Dec. 12. In the Big Ten, Ohio State vs. Maryland was canceled altogether.

Finally, 4 non-Power 5 games are on the list: Memphis vs. Navy in the American, Louisiana-Monroe vs. Arkansas State in the Sun Belt, Air Force vs. Wyoming in the Mountain West, and Rice vs. Louisiana Tech in Conference USA.
