The SEC has been dominant on the recruiting trails in recent years, thanks largely to Alabama. Now, teams like Georgia and Texas A&M are putting together elite classes, too.

On Friday, though, an update to the 247Sports composite rankings left a familiar name in the No. 1 spot.

As you can see below, 11 SEC teams crack the top 25 of the rankings, with Alabama leap-frogging A&M to reclaim the No. 1 spot:

  • No. 1 — Alabama
  • No. 2 — Texas A&M
  • No. 3 — Georgia
  • No. 7 — LSU
  • No. 11 — Auburn
  • No. 14 — Tennessee
  • No. 16 — South Carolina
  • No. 17 — Arkansas
  • No. 18 — Ole Miss
  • No. 21 — Mississippi State
  • No. 22 — Florida

It’s still early, so things could change. However, these three teams at the top of the standings will be tough to catch.

We’ll see how things play out by the early signing period in December, though.
