16th house being built for family in need after Alabama’s 16th national title
Alabama football is steeped in tradition that dates back a long time, but the program’s success helped start a much more recent tradition that extends outside of the gridiron.
April of 2011 was a trying time in the state of Alabama as tornadoes battered Tuscaloosa. Coach Nick Saban and his wife, Terry, made a commitment to build 13 homes — one for each of the school’s national championships at the time — as part of the Habitat for Humanity of Tuscaloosa.
That’s continued with each national title the school has won since then, with houses No. 14 and 15 being built in 2011 and 2012, respectively.
Now, No. 16 is being built.
RollTide.com released a video to show the latest house being constructed for a family in need.
