Mississippi State basketball is losing two players to transfer.

On Sunday, the program announced that Xavian Stapleton and Eli Wright are leaving the program. Stapleton will be a senior (set to graduate in May), while Wright will be a junior.

“We are very appreciative of Xay’s (Xavian Stapleton) contributions to the program and team the past three years,” head coach Ben Howland said in a press release. “He’s going to graduate with a degree from MSU. He will move forward, and I wish him all the best with his future endeavors and life.”

Stapleton averaged 6.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and made 12 blocks in 2017-18. White, meanwhile, averaged three points and 2.2 rebounds this past season.

“I really appreciate Eli (Wright) and all his hard work and efforts,” Howland said in a statement. “He’s a great kid, and I’m sure he will have a lot of success as a player at his new institution. I appreciate all his efforts in helping our program get to where it is today.”
