With a month remaining before he makes his verbal announcement, 2016 four-star safety Dylan Singleton already has a favorite in mind and it’s not Duke or Ohio State for the Georgia native.

Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt and the in-state Georgia Bulldogs have peaked his interest.

“That’s where I feel like I want to play college football at right now,” Singleton told the AJC. “I feel like I can fit into their system nicely.”

Singleton was on campus for Dawg Night earlier this month and is being recruited to play free safety. Georgia assistant Thomas Brown, along with Pruitt, are considered Singleton’s lead recruiters.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound ballhawk from Lawrenceville has offers from five other SEC programs, but Georgia’s the only finalist.

Singleton’s brother, Deondre, is one of Duke’s best players in the secondary. He’s a junior returning starter at Bandit for coach David Cutcliffe .

Singleton took an unofficial visit to Durham, North Carolina last week.
