The College Football Playoff Selection Show has come and gone, and so has the bowl selection process.
A 2020 marked by the COVID-19 pandemic equaled more bowl spots than usual due to a number of teams opting out, as well as the suspension of the normal bowl eligibility requirements. As a result, every SEC team except LSU (self-imposed bowl ban) and Vanderbilt ended up in the postseason.
