Some things just never change. The SEC dominated the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft Thursday night.

The previous record — tied by the SEC twice and the ACC once — for the most first round picks was 12; however, the SEC racked up an impressive 15 picks. It all started with Joe Burrow going No. 1 to the Cincinnati Bengals, and it didn’t really slow down from there either. In fact, LSU had bookend picks with Burrow and Clyde Edwards-Helaire going No. 32 to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The SEC set an NFL Draft record with 6 of the first 10 picks and 10 of the first 20 picks. It also set a record as the only conference in history to have 2 quarterbacks picked in the top 5.

  • SEC: 15
  • Big 12: 5
  • Big 10: 5
  • Pac-12: 3
