It was nice while it lasted.

On June 8, Tennessee picked up a commitment from 2020 prospect Miles Friday of Suwanee, Ga. While he has three years of high school ahead of him, it was still a good pickup for the Vols based on his highlights.

A little over a month later, Friday is backing off that pledge. In a note posted on Twitter, Friday said he is reopening his recruitment because he doesn’t want to rush things. With more than two years remaining in his recruiting process, the 5-foot-11, 172-pound freshman can certainly take his time.

Friday notably has offers from Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Louisville, Ohio State, UCLA, and Wisconsin and several others, and says Tennessee remains one of his top teams.
