2023 NFL Mock Draft: 3 SEC QBs go in top 5 of CBS Sports’ latest projections

The 2023 NFL Draft will begin on Thursday, April 27, in Kansas City and will feature plenty of SEC stars going in Round 1.

On Sunday, CBS Sports analyst Josh Edwards updated his Round 1 mock draft, and he has 13 SEC players going in the first 31 picks.

As you can see below, he has 3 SEC QBs — Bryce Young, Will Levis and Anthony Richardson — going in the first 5 picks:

  • No. 2 — Bryce Young, QB, Alabama — Houston Texans
  • No. 3 — Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia — Arizona Cardinals
  • No. 4 — Will Levis, QB, Kentucky — Indianapolis Colts
  • No. 5 — Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida — Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 6 — Will Anderson Jr., Edge, Alabama — Detroit Lions
  • No. 13 — Broderick Jones, OL, Georgia — New York Jets
  • No. 19 — Cam Smith, CB, South Carolina — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 21 — Darnell Wright, OL, Tennessee — Los Angeles Chargers
  • No. 25 — O’Cyrus Torrence, OL, Florida — New York Giants
  • No. 27 — Brian Branch, DB, Alabama — Buffalo Bills
  • No. 28 — Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia — Cincinnati Bengals
  • No. 30 — Nolan Smith, Edge, Georgia — Arizona Cardinals
  • No. 31 — Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee — Kansas City Chiefs
